ANNOUNCEMENT FOR DANCERS & FILMMAKERS
We’re excited to share some major news that marks a new chapter for our community. With the acquisition and ongoing renovation of our own dedicated creative facility, Espoo Digi Dance International is leveling up. These big developments mean we’re refreshing our entire program and reimagining how we will deliver the festival experience from here onward.
Because of these upgrades, the official selection of 2025 and 2026 will be screened and gloriously celebrated at our brand-new home next year, 4-6 April 2026.
This is a massive step forward. Our new space will unlock fresh opportunities for dancers, filmmakers, and all artists involved. It will also expand the reach of the selected films, giving them access to audiences across Finland and around the world. We are building new connections with dancers, dance schools, associations, creative hubs, and technology partners both locally and internationally.
Here’s a glimpse of what’s coming: – Live-streamed dance battles and competitions hosted in our new venue – Film screenings and hybrid Q&A conversations with dancers and filmmakers, onsite and online – Conferences, workshops, and creative labs blending movement and emerging tech – New digital formats and collaborations that bring global participation to the heart of Espoo. Every part of this transformation is designed to spark communication, collaboration, and worldwide artistic exchange.
